Q: What are the requirements to get a MobiLife policy?
A: As long as you are between the ages of 18 and 60 and have both a valid South African bank account and ID number you can buy a MobiLife policy!
Q: Do you really offer a 90 Day Money Back Guarantee?
A: Yes, we are so passionate about offering a great service, that we will refund all of your premiums paid within 90 days of purchase if you ask us to. The only thing we would ask is that you explain why you are dissatisfied, so that we may learn and improve. If a claim has already been submitted, then the money back guarantee will no longer apply.
Q: Do you do any medical tests for any of your products?
A: No, we will not ask you any medical questions or require you to have any medical tests done.
Q: How can I track my policy?
A: You can fully self-service your policy at www.mobi.co.za, simply log in with your ID number and password.
Q: Is it true that you can miss up to 11 payments with MobiLife and still get cover?
A: Yes! MobiLife is the ONLY Company that will NEVER LAPSETM your policy when you need to skip a premium. In fact, you can skip a premium whenever you need to. You will enjoy some cover - even if you only pay one premium a year. It's the way all life insurance should be. If you do skip premiums, your cover will reduce for each premium skipped. We also only reduce the claim pay-out if you miss a premium in the 12 months before a claim. So, if you missed many premiums but start paying again and miss no premiums in the 12 months before a claim we will pay out the full cover amount.
Q: When I skip a premium, how do you calculate the cover pay-out?
A: We will reduce the pay-out by 1/12 for every missed premium in the 12 months before a claim. For example, if you skip 3 premiums in the year before claim, your cover will be paid out at 75% of the sum assured. The more premiums you pay, the more cover you will enjoy.
Q: How much does a MobiLife funeral policy cost?
A: It depends on your age, the younger you are the cheaper your premium will be. Get your own quote to see how much it will be for you. You can get cover from only R49.99 per month.
Q: Do the premiums go up every year?
A: Yes, the premium you pay depends on your age, so at every policy anniversary you can expect that the premium will increase by a low percentage. We will offer you 3 options at that time, from which you may choose your cover for the next year.
Q: Can I change my cover?
A: Yes, you can increase or reduce your cover at any time by entering our self-service site for existing customers. This should take you less than 3 minutes to do. At MobiLife you will NEVER pay a penalty for changing your policy.
Section 2: Mobilife Funeral Cover
Q: How much cover does my family get?
A: The cover of each family member is based on their relationship to you and the benefit amount you choose. The table below outlines these.

So, for example, if you have purchased a Funeral Cover policy with a R20,000 benefit, then your child aged 12 years would be covered for R10,000, being 50% of R20,000.
There are also specific maximum amounts for children: those under the age of 6 cannot be covered for more than R10,000 and those under age 14 no more than R20,000.

Section 3: Mobilife FoodSurance
Q: Can FoodSuranceTM be used while the life covered is still alive?
A: No, FoodSuranceTM is to provide for your family when you are no longer around to do so. The benefit is payable on the death of the life assured.
Q: What is FoodSuranceTM?
A: FoodSuranceTM is a wonderful life insurance policy that will pay WEEKLY grocery vouchers to your family after your death. These vouchers can be redeemed at a Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay or Boxer store. FoodSuranceTM keeps food on the table, when you no longer can.
Q: How does the cover work?
A: You select the amount of each weekly voucher that will be payable and also for how long after your death we will pay it, up to 5 years.
Q: How can I get the R49.99 FoodSuranceTM policy?
A: In order to keep the sales process as easy as possible, we present you with a choice of 3 sensible options for your age. If you would like to see more options, simply go ‘back' and re-do your quote until you find an option you like.
Q: Does the value of the vouchers increase?
A: Yes, the value of the weekly grocery vouchers will be increased every year after we start paying them by 6% per annum.
Q: What makes FoodSuranceTM different from other grocery benefits offered by other financial services providers?
A: Some funeral policies will pay a grocery voucher to buy food for the funeral. FoodSuranceTM does not buy food for the funeral, it buys food for your family for years after your death. FoodSuranceTM is the ONLY life insurance product that puts food on the table for up to 5 years after you no longer can.
Q: Can one get both funeral cover and a FoodSuranceTM policy at the same time?
A: You can buy both a MobiLife Funeral Plan and a FoodSuranceTM policy independently.
Q: What are the requirements for a FoodSuranceTM policy?
A: As long as you are between the ages of 18 and 60 and have both a valid SA ID number and bank account you can buy FoodSuranceTM. No medical tests required.
Q: Who can be a beneficiary?
A: You can choose anyone to be your beneficiary. At any time before making a claim you can choose a beneficiary or change the beneficiary yourself at www.mobi.co.za. Go to "Existing customer login" and it's easy from there.

Section 4: Claims
Q: Is there a waiting period?
A: Yes, there is a 6 month waiting period starting on the inception date of the policy. Only claims due to accidental causes will be paid during the waiting period.
Q: How does the claim process work?
A: Your beneficiary can log a claim on our website at www.mobi.co.za or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: How does the claim process work for the FoodSuranceTM policy?
A: Your beneficiary will need to choose the store at which they wish to redeem their vouchers. Once the claim is admitted, we will send them an electronic voucher code every week via SMS.
Q: How long does the claim process take before you pay out?
A: We aim to pay out within 24 - 48 hours.
